Job Description

Lytica is looking for a Quality Automation Lead who loves the challenge of the fast-paced start-up world, to work with the product team to create and build our quality strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define test objectives and create test strategy and test plans.
  • Oversee, architect, and lead all aspects of manual and automated testing for the Lytica SaaS product.
  • Design, implement, organize, and maintain test plan, considering the following:
    • Unit tests
    • Functional testing
    • API testing
    • Performance and load testing
    • Security testing
    • “llity” testing
    • User acceptance testing
  • Design and execute data verification tests to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the application. Validate data transformations, calculations, and database operations.
  • Work closely with the product and development team to clarify feature requirements, determine manual and automated testing needs, derive tasks, and provide feedback on design solutions. Identify incomplete or missing areas in specs and work with stakeholders to address them
  • Firmly and passionately advocate for our customers
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing and creating manual and automated test.
  • Strong experience testing REST API’s.
  • Strong experience with ETL, data quality and completion validation
  • Experience with SQL and performance queries
  • Experience with Playwright automation framework and automation frameworks (i.e. POM and Data Driven) (or similar)
  • Experience with TestRail for test cases management (or similar)
  • Experience with cloud computing services (Azure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to shift focus as objectives and priorities change.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field or an equivalent combination of work experience and certifications
  • 7+ years of test automation experience developing and maintaining automated test cases at various levels; API, front-end UI, etc.
  • Minimum of intermediate skill level in programming with Java, node.js, Python, or other programming/scripting languages
