Opportunity Description

Lytica’s team is growing, and we are looking for a Lead Component Engineer to lead our Component Engineering team. We are seeking a self-driven and high-energy individual with a strong analytical mind and a passion for problem-solving. In this role, you will leverage your design expertise, software development skills, and data mining techniques to steer the growth of our reference library of electronic components, ensuring its accuracy and relevance in supporting electronic product development. You will collaborate with a team of component engineers to identify new industries and technologies, integrate them into our library, enhance the functionality of our decision support system, and improve the integrity of our library through data mining techniques.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of component engineers in maintaining and expanding our reference library of electronic components, attributes, and market data.
  • Utilize your design expertise to identify new industries and technologies relevant to electronic component procurement and integrate them into our library.
  • Collaborate with software developers to enhance the functionality and usability of our decision support system.
  • Implement data mining techniques to improve the integrity and coverage of our library.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to inform library growth strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on component selection and procurement best practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronic component design and procurement.
  • Proficiency in software development languages and tools, with experience in database management and software architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data mining techniques, including familiarity with tools such as Python, R, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to effectively lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and strategic growth initiatives within a technical organization.
